We have flooring

How many pictures of boxes of flooring do I dare publish?

It's busy warming up.   Next week, I should be able to post pictures of flooring, yanno, underfoot.  Whoo hoo!

Plus, grout.   It looks great.

Pretty soon, carpeting, doors, trim ...

Deck railing

The deck railing is almost done:

It still needs a cap for the railing, then the glass is put in & I think it can be considered done.   I can now go out to the edge and look down, courageous person that I am.

Also, the tile in the downstairs hallway is done, which is the last of the tile to do.   The Karndean is lost in FexEx land somewhere.   It will show up, but the ETA is not clear.

Bunny welcomes us:

And many people were there (more or less from the end of the evening to the beginning):

Tile

I now have tile in the downstairs bathroom ...

Nice :-)

Also some tile in the downstairs hallway:

It's not finished, but what is there looks nice.

Tile cutting area, aka the garage:

Also, there was a break in the rain, so Jake was able to put up more of the railing:

Cold out there ....

That white stuff coating the deck -- that's frost.   Cold, yep.

The picture was taken about 8am.

For those who might be tempted to say something like, if it isn't 3 feet of snow it isn't *really* cold, all I have to say is Pffft!   You can have your really cold, I'll take temperate any day.

Maybe there will be flowers in the spring

I filled the planter boxes last weekend.   A truck brought some nice compost, plus I hauled a bunch of dirt from the pile in the backyard.

It was a lot of dirt to move.   Mercifully, Jake had left a wheelbarrow at my house, so I could wheel it instead of just carrying.   I thought I had gotten enough compost to fill the boxes, but not so much when it arrived.

If you look closely in this picture, my pants are covered with dirt.   I guess that makes me a real gardener for a day at least.

I planted a bunch of bulbs.   Unfortunately, they had been sitting in my living room for a month and some had started to sprout.    I don't have a huge hope that there will be a lot of them that come up in the spring because of that, but I still hope for some.   Next year I'll plant flowers that have a hope of looking nice though the winter & put bulbs in pots instead.

There is one more box, in the side yard.   I plan to put fennel, rosemary and lavender in it in the spring, plus maybe some more flowers.

Garage door

I have a garage door:

It goes up and down, just like a real garage door should.

From the inside:

Also photos of the deck with the paint.

The railing parts have arrived, but not yet been installed.
