Looking out from the top story ...
There is the tip of a mountain out there, but it got washed out of the sky in the picture.
Stairs to get up there
There is a hole in my roof. It will be interesting to see what they do here -- hopefully when it is all done, there is a path for the water to run off.

Top story walls
It rained on Monday. It's not supposed to do that in August.
Tues, they finished putting the roof on in the main floor. That should help keep it a bit drier.
Yesterday, they put up walls to the 3rd story (the stairs to the deck).
The weather doesn't call for rain, which is good because Jake cut a hole in the roof of my main house.
They were building stairs when I left this morning, so I should be able to walk up to the deck level when I get home.

Walls and stairs
Walls on the main floor:

This picture is from the park across the street.
And there are stairs going up to the main floor too:

Pretty soon, I'll be able to go out the back door and down the stairs to the basement. They still have the plywood over the back door, so it's a bit hard to get through now, but soon.

The view out the main floor window to the back yard. It's a pile now, but with luck, someday it will look more inviting.

Giant beam
They hoisted the main beam for the lower floor into place yesterday. Jake said it took 5 guys to do it. He had Craig and his crew come down to help (he said, I wasn't there).
The garage door is framed in also.

Concrete floor
is here ...
Photos of the pouring.
The pumper truck. There were quite a few guys here for this job.

One of the guys from the pumper truck directs the concrete.

The pumper truck is radio controlled (that is the device the guy on the right is wearing).

First, they filled the hole for the roof support.

Then they put in the floor in the hallway.

One of the crew shook the mud to distribute the rocks.

After the shaking comes the smoothing.

Pics of the finished floor tomorrow.
