Doors and siding

When I got home, much of the siding had been put on.   I think that they need to have the windows and doors in place before they side around them.   The outer doors were delivered on Friday, so now I can turn a handle and go out onto the deck or the front porch.

The house from the street.   The new roof harmonizes with the existing one.

The front door from the inside.   I like the glass panel.

The deck door is full glass.

From the outside.   The deck has had the heat sealing done, so I think it is almost finished.   It still needs a railing.   That may be put in after painting.   It still needs siding too, of course.

The new electric panel is in place, waiting for the city to move the hookup from the old location to the new.   The wire is in place to backfeed the power to the panel in the basement.   How long that takes will depend somewhat on how the city organizes the transfer, because they have to connect the new and disconnect the old, two different operations.

I have two more planter boxes to build, one more for the hallway and another to put where the laurel bush in the yard is.   Then I can call up to get some compost delivered.   I got a bunch of bulbs yesterday to plant in them.
