Roof, porch, inside walls

A lot has happened since I last posted.

Jake brought in a crew who put a roof on the hallway section.

He also built the porch and put a roof on it too.

The kitchen window is a little awkward, but that is a design problem. There are only so many things one can move around to make them fit and that one just has to be strange.

The cricket is in place now, with a cover in case it rains.

Inside walls are going up. Downstairs,

and on the main floor.

It's going to be a giant closet. :-)

Jake put in a window on the lower stairs, which will help bring light down into the lower hallway. It has a nice wide ledge too.

Next week, windows and doors. The upper floor hallway will get a full glass door. I think I shall use it for a sitting room, where I can look out over the skyline when it is too cold to go out on the deck. It will work as a guest bedroom too.
